CASE # 2 : Freezing Frank Frank came to medical attention after he was wearing an overcoat in a car with all the windows closed degree summer weather. told the doctor that in addition to being cold, he was tired all the time and didn’t feel like socializing. He also complained that he had been gaining weight even though he had a poor appetite. His physician noticed he had pale, dry skin and a puffy face. His voice was hoarse. The physician ordered a CBC, chemistry panel and TSH. The results of the CBC were normal. The chemistry panel showed a high cholesterol level. The TSH was 15 mIU/L 1.
